Ten Free Sketches

Because I want one from :useratticat:, I must give ten free sketches out to the five people who watch me/pay attention to my journals. It's no problem. Except to make it easier on myself, I am offering either sketches which you will get in no later than five years and poems/short stories which you should get no later than five weeks. Take your pick.

I only ask/require that you ALSO offer ten sketches/poems/stories in your own journal and that I am included. :3 Thank you plenty. Just post here for your prize.

Fatalities - Game Reviews with Loci

Figured I've been playing quite a few games so I'm going to start reviewing games on the Nintendo DS (as I start to collect more systems I may do games from those too). But I want to do my own style so I'm going to compare two games of the same genre based on their controls, storyline, graphics, playability and replayability, entertainment (including the soundtrack and the overall fun), difficulty and what creates that difficulty, characters and enemies, and time I predict they spent on it. Then there will be some opinion thrown in but it won't count towards the score.

I've chosen the name Fatalities because it's a name we all know (and if you don't you need to go out and play some Mortal Combat) and it's always represented the final, chaotic blow - the victor. Since this is a game of two players, one must come out victorious.

I'm going to try to do this every week, and it will most likely come in the form of a deviation but I'm introducing it through here first. I might do movies, music or manga as well if I find I can't defe

Next Week or sooner (assuming I've beaten the latter) will be comparing Touch the Dead and Dementium: The Ward, a fight between first-person horror and zombie shooters on the N.DS.

100 Drawings - New Project

Journal Entry: Thu Feb 28, 2008, 9:49 PM
I'm creating my own list, since I really never to practice my art. Except instead of the typical 100 drawings list, I'm going to do 100 Inspirations. I listen to a lot of music and so I'm going to find 100 inspirational songs and draw an inspiration from that.

Send me suggestions! I listen to a lot of music and choosing 100 songs will be tough, so send me inspirational ones (I really like Father/Daughter songs FYI). I'll post the list in segments at a time so it doesn't take up as much room. Feel free to use it, I don't mind.

1. Cinderella - Steven Curtis Chapman Current
2. Something Beautiful - Natalie Grant
3. Porcelein Heart - Barlow Girl
4. Our Song - Taylor Swift

7. Ever Ever After - Carrie Underwood

Short Stories

Journal Entry: Thu Feb 14, 2008, 1:25 PM
Because of me wanting to publish them, I'm going to start a new thing. You guys get a preview of short stories but you won't get the whole thing until I get a YES/NO from the literary magazine I sent it too. And so you can spend a few nights thinking about it. Muahaha...

Moving on.

Assumptions Excerpt:

"Haven’t you seen my hints? I’ve been dropping them all week? Today is my last chance. I can’t do it anymore. No one ever asks me if I’m okay. No one seems to pay attention to all the clues I try to leave. I want someone to stop me but at the same time, I want to do this. Maybe I just need a hug. But I won’t get one. My mom will probably be sobbing in bed, drunk from depression since dad left. No one else listens. No one cares. I’m sure they’re all laughing at me on the inside. They just don’t understand."

  • Mood: Bemused
  • Playing: Dementium...damn, screaming heads...
  • Eating: Nothing. Literally.

Zelda

Phantom Hourglass is a fun game. You should all go out and buy it.

That being said, it's the 5th and I'm left without Brawl. One more delay and I might just have to fly to Japan and destroy Nintendo.

Some Stories I've Been Thinking About Writing:

Monsters in the Attic - Actually about a possessed house. It just sounds like a typical Goosebumps story.

[The] Motive - YES I KNOW. I'm retyping Chapter One eventually.

Burden of the Cross - Religious persecution from the eyes of a Christian (not Christian persecution. It actually covers all persecution. SHOCK.)

Shining Earth (name pending) Saga - Okay, you all know Loquita by now I'm sure. She's only the most adorable little girl in non-existence. She only has a small fragment of a big giant story about the creation and time line of the kingdom of Suir (Sweer) later called Kel (Kel, lol). This is, I approximate, going to be about 8 books. OMG 8 BOOKS?! Yes, because it's a long story, ranging from far in the past to far in the future, from horror to romance to fantasy to history to just about any genre you can think of. But it's all laid out. Loquita's story is just the one I tell first since it's (A) the longest (not really, the bulk of the actual story is only going to stretch over the length of either a week or a month). and (B) it's the most important and the biggest event in the entire Suir/Kel time line, in my opinion. But it's my little world, so my opinion is the only one that matters. A few questions that friends in real life have asked me are answered: No, it will not be a manga. Don't have the patience, material, time or talent to make it into a manga. No, I will not include your character. It's a story, not a fan fic. Yes, PLEASE SUGGEST NAMES FOR THE WHOLE SET. I already have the names for each story seperately but in the event I do ever publish them, a name for the series as a whole would be spectacular. No, none of my other ideas/books pending are involved with this. So as you can all see on here, this has a lot of thought put into it. I have it planned out down to the last decimal point, hypothetically speaking. After I finish Motive (because it's still number one right now) then I'll start working on the first, called White, in between my other ideas.

That was really long. Summarized version: read the long version.

I'm dead serious. I can't wait.

I'm just upset because I don't get to take Russian. Oh well, I'll live.

I got a tablet for Christmas. Maybe I'll draw more. Maybe I'll draw more and not upload anything. Maybe I'll only write. Maybe I'll go play tiddly winks and dominoes in traffic. Find out next episode.
